Kremlin slams Britain over Ukraine missile support, warns of peace obstacle
Moscow has accused the United Kingdom of escalating tensions and undermining diplomatic efforts by supplying advanced missiles to Ukraine. Kremlin officials claim Britain is actively working to derail any path toward resolving the conflict.

The Kremlin has criticised British military assistance to Ukraine, characterising the supply of missiles as a deliberate effort to intensify the conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov alleged that Britain is doing everything within its power to obstruct progress towards a negotiated settlement, adding that such weapons transfers fan the flames of the ongoing dispute.
The accusation comes as Western nations, including Britain, have ramped up military support to Ukraine in recent months. The UK has provided various forms of weaponry and defence systems as part of broader NATO efforts to support Kyiv's defence capabilities against Russian forces.
Moscow has previously objected to Western military aid, arguing that it complicates efforts to reach a diplomatic resolution. The Kremlin's latest statement reflects the deepening divide between Russia and Western nations over how to address the conflict, with both sides offering fundamentally different assessments of the role such military assistance plays in peace negotiations.
