KTR claims KCR will return to protect Telangana farmers
K. Taraka Rama Rao, a senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, has predicted that party chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao will make a political comeback to shield farmers from what he characterizes as unfavorable Congress policies.

K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), reiterated confidence in his party's ability to mobilize political opposition to the ruling Congress government in Telangana. Speaking in the context of farmer-related issues in the state, KTR suggested that K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the party's founder and former Chief Minister, remains a significant political force capable of addressing agrarian concerns.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between the BRS and the Congress administration over agricultural policies and farmer welfare schemes in Telangana. KTR's statement underscores the opposition party's strategy of positioning itself as a guardian of farmer interests ahead of potential political realignments in the state.
KCR led Telangana as Chief Minister from 2014 until losing power to Congress in the 2023 state elections. The BRS has since positioned itself as a vocal critic of Congress governance, particularly on issues affecting the agricultural sector, which remains central to Telangana's economy. KTR's recent assertion appears designed to keep the former Chief Minister in public focus while maintaining party momentum against the incumbent administration.
