Kundu advances to pre-quarters as Indian boxing campaign begins at Asiad

Kundu delivered a dominant performance, particularly in the final round, to defeat Sinsiri 5-0 and progress to the pre-quarterfinals stage. The Indian boxer, who was among the medal absentees at last month's Commonwealth Games, will next face Iraq's Ali Qasim Hamdan Al-Sarra in the competition.

India has sent an 11-member boxing team to the Games, comprising six men and five women. The delegation is aiming to build on the strong showing at the previous edition, where Indian boxers secured four medals—one silver and three bronze.
