Kurnool readies dual sites for Ganesh idol immersion ceremonies

Kurnool is preparing two sites to accommodate the immersion of Ganesh idols as devotees prepare to conclude the Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrations. The Vinayaka Ghat on the K-C Canal and a location near the Nannur toll gate at the Handri-Neeva site have been selected for the purpose.

According to T.G. Bharath Gupta, Industries and Commerce Minister and Kurnool's Member of Legislative Assembly, comprehensive arrangements are underway to ensure the ceremonies proceed smoothly. The dual-site approach is intended to distribute immersion activities across the city and manage the anticipated congregation of devotees.

The identification of multiple immersion venues reflects civic planning efforts to balance the religious significance of the festival with practical considerations for public safety and environmental protection. Local authorities have been tasked with ensuring adequate facilities and support at both designated locations.
