Kuskop distributes nearly RM10b to 270,000 entrepreneurs in eight months

The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (Kuskop) has distributed nearly RM10 billion to 270,000 entrepreneurs across the country as of August this year, marking significant progress in its entrepreneurship support initiatives. The ministry said the disbursements represent a substantial commitment to nurturing Malaysia's entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. According to officials, the funds have been channelled through various programmes aimed at capacity building, financing, and business development assistance. Kuskop is now pushing for an enhanced budget allocation in the 2027 federal budget to sustain and accelerate its entrepreneurship support programmes. The ministry believes increased funding would enable it to reach more aspiring business owners and provide comprehensive assistance to existing entrepreneurs seeking to scale their operations. Officials emphasised that continued investment in entrepreneurship development is critical for economic growth and job creation across Malaysia.
