L&T bags ₹15,000 crore power transmission contracts across India, West Asia

Larsen & Toubro's Power Transmission & Distribution business has won multiple orders valued at up to ₹15,000 crore, marking a substantial boost to its order book in the power infrastructure sector. The contracts span projects in India and West Asian markets, reflecting growing demand for grid modernisation and renewable energy connectivity across the region.

The orders are expected to support critical infrastructure development aimed at enhancing power transmission capacity and grid reliability. A significant portion of the work will focus on facilitating the evacuation of renewable energy from generation sources to consumption centres, aligning with the broader regional shift towards clean energy adoption.

The contract wins underscore L&T's position as a key player in India's power transmission sector at a time when the nation is ramping up investments in electrical infrastructure to support growing energy demand and renewable energy integration targets. The company's PT&D division specialises in designing, engineering, and executing high-voltage transmission projects that form the backbone of national and regional power systems.

These orders add to L&T's existing portfolio in the power infrastructure space and are expected to generate sustained revenue flows over their execution period. The company's capabilities in managing complex transmission projects across diverse geographies position it to capitalise on expanding infrastructure opportunities in South Asia and the Gulf region.
