L&T bags major offshore contract from ONGC for west coast expansion
Larsen & Toubro's energy division has secured a significant order from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation to develop additional offshore fields along India's western seaboard. The contract, valued in the large order bracket, encompasses multiple engineering and construction components.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said on Wednesday that its Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore business has clinched a substantial contract from state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for offshore development projects off India's west coast.
The order, classified as 'large' by L&T's internal metrics, falls within the Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore valuation band. According to an exchange filing, the scope encompasses development of the Ratna I Additional Development (ADR I) and NLM-14 fields.
The contract will involve comprehensive project execution including engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning services. L&T will deliver three new wellhead platforms, one riser platform, and multiple segments of subsea pipelines and cables for the projects. The work scope also includes brownfield modifications to upgrade existing offshore infrastructure.
The contract reinforces L&T's position in India's deepwater and subsea engineering space as ONGC pursues expansion of its offshore production capacity along the western coast.
