Larsen & Toubro, the infrastructure conglomerate, announced on Monday that it has been awarded major construction contracts by a leading client for multiple residential and commercial developments across India's key metropolitan centers.
The Mumbai project comprises nine high-rise residential towers, each featuring one basement level and 50 floors. The Bengaluru assignment involves constructing nine residential towers with three basement levels and 25 floors each. In Hyderabad, L&T will develop a premium commercial tower with five basements and 22 floors, the company said in a statement.
The orders have been awarded to L&T's residential, commercial buildings and factories business vertical. In addition to the primary contracts, the business has secured supplementary orders for ongoing projects, though details on these add-on works were not disclosed.
L&T categorizes orders valued between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore as 'significant' within its classification framework. The latest wins reflect steady demand in India's commercial and residential real estate markets, particularly in major urban agglomerations seeking high-density residential and office solutions.
