LA 2028 Olympics adopts 'Stars Align' as official Games slogan

LOS ANGELES — The organising committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games has announced "Stars Align" as the official slogan for the forthcoming event, marking a symbolic convergence of elite sport and the entertainment capital's global standing.

The motto encapsulates the Games' central narrative: the culmination of years of dedicated athletic preparation meeting the international platform and cultural spotlight that Los Angeles provides as host city. The slogan aims to resonate with both the Olympic movement and the broader Los Angeles community.

The choice reflects a deliberate branding strategy to emphasise how the Games represent a moment when multiple elements coalesce—the dedication of world-class athletes, the readiness of host infrastructure, and the distinctive character of one of the world's premier entertainment and cultural hubs.

Los Angeles will become the third American city to host the Summer Olympics, following Los Angeles in 1984 and Atlanta in 1996. The 2028 Games will showcase both Olympic and Paralympic competitions across venues throughout the metropolitan region.
