La Mesa Dam water level eases but stays above critical threshold
The water level at La Mesa Dam in Quezon City has declined slightly but remains elevated above critical levels, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. The state weather bureau reported the development on Monday morning.

As of 5 a.m. Monday, La Mesa Dam's water level stood at 79.92 meters, down from the 80.1-meter reading recorded previously, Pagasa said in its latest hydrological situationer. Despite the decrease, the current level continues to exceed the critical threshold that triggers concerns about potential flooding and water overflow in the metro.
La Mesa Dam, one of the country's critical water infrastructure facilities serving Metro Manila, has been closely monitored as water levels fluctuate. The facility is key to the region's water supply management and flood control operations.
