MANILA — Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson has disputed the Taguig City government's characterization of a video he posted documenting alleged illegal reclamation activities in the city, questioning how raw inspection footage could be considered "curated."

Lacson posted his rebuttal Monday on social media after Taguig officials suggested the video had been selectively edited or presented in a misleading manner. "The footage was taken directly by the government inspection team," the senator stated, challenging the city government's framing of the material.

The exchange marks an escalation in the dispute over reclamation projects in Taguig, one of Metro Manila's major commercial and residential centers. Lacson has previously raised concerns about development activities in the city that he claims may be operating without proper authorization or environmental compliance.

Taguig City officials have not immediately provided additional comment on Lacson's response. The controversy underscores ongoing tensions between national and local government authorities regarding land development oversight in the capital region.
