LUCENA CITY — Water levels at Laguna de Bay remained elevated at 12.65 meters on Thursday, continuing to surpass the critical-high threshold of 12.50 meters, according to the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA).
The authority issued the advisory at 9:15 a.m., attributing the sustained high water levels to torrential rains that have persisted across the region. The lake, which is the nation's largest freshwater body, serves as a critical water resource for millions of residents in the surrounding provinces.
