A 31-year-old man identified as alias "Romel" was arrested in Las Piñas City on charges of evading a police checkpoint and carrying an unlicensed firearm, the Southern Police District reported.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay CAA in Las Piñas City, was intercepted while riding a motorcycle. Upon inspection following his attempted escape from the checkpoint, police discovered an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition in his possession.
