Late Tun Dr Siti Hasmah's remains transferred to family home

KUALA LUMPUR — The remains of the late Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali were transported from the National Heart Institute (IJN) to her family residence in Seri Kembangan on Saturday, marking the beginning of final funeral arrangements. Dr Siti Hasmah, widow of Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, had been receiving treatment at the cardiac centre prior to her passing. Her family received well-wishers and visitors at the residence as preparations were made for the funeral service. The transfer was carried out with due respect and solemnity befitting her status and contributions to the nation. Tun Dr Siti Hasmah was widely respected for her charitable work and advocacy during her decades as First Lady, and her passing has drawn tributes from senior government officials and members of the public.
