LCP leader Zamora holds consultations across Mindanao cities

San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, who heads the League of Cities of the Philippines, traveled to Northern Mindanao and Caraga on July 29-30 to meet with officials from member municipalities and cities across the two regions.

During the consultations, Zamora and local government leaders discussed priority programs being rolled out by the national government and identified key concerns affecting local government units in the areas. The meetings aimed to strengthen cooperation between the LCP and its member cities while ensuring that local priorities are represented at the national level.

The LCP, a national organization representing cities across the country, regularly conducts regional consultations to maintain dialogue with its membership and coordinate responses to emerging governance challenges. The Mindanao visit underscores efforts by the organization to maintain active engagement with cities in key regions outside Metro Manila.

Zamora's consultations come as local government units continue to grapple with fiscal constraints and competing development priorities in their respective jurisdictions. The meetings provided a platform for city leaders to voice concerns and coordinate advocacy efforts on issues affecting their communities.
