Leclerc admits going too far in Monza collision with Hamilton

Charles Leclerc has conceded that his aggressive driving at the start of the Italian Grand Prix crossed the line, after the Ferrari driver's manoeuvre sent Lewis Hamilton off track and into the gravel at Monza.

The incident occurred on the opening lap when Leclerc moved against his rival, forcing the Mercedes driver to lose control and drop significantly in the race order. Hamilton fell six places as a consequence of the contact, compromising his chances of a strong finish at one of Formula 1's most prestigious venues.

Leclerc has since reflected on the collision, accepting that his approach was excessive. The acknowledgement comes as part of ongoing discussions within the paddock about aggressive racing tactics and the fine line between competitive driving and unsporting conduct.
