Lenskart doubles net profit to ₹232 crore in Q2FY27 amid revenue surge

Lenskart reported net profit of ₹232 crore for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, more than doubling from the previous year as the eyewear retailer capitalised on strong consumer demand across its markets. Revenue grew 32.5 per cent during the quarter, reflecting the company's expanding footprint and digital penetration in the competitive optical retail sector.

Operating profitability expanded significantly, with EBITDA rising 65 per cent to ₹392 crore as the company improved operational efficiency and cost management. EBITDA margins widened to 13.8 per cent, demonstrating improved leverage across the business model as sales volumes increased.

Domestic performance remained a key driver, with same-store sales in India growing 20.8 per cent year-on-year. The growth reflects both footfall increases and higher average transaction values as consumer preference for branded eyewear strengthened. Meanwhile, the company's international operations maintained momentum, with margins remaining above 10 per cent for the second consecutive quarter, indicating stable performance in overseas markets despite broader macroeconomic challenges.

The results underscore Lenskart's strategic focus on profitability alongside expansion, as the company balances growth investments with bottom-line delivery. The stronger margins suggest the company is moving past its growth-at-all-costs phase toward sustainable, profitable operations in an increasingly competitive sector.
