Lenskart has reported a sharp acceleration in profitability during the second quarter, signalling strong momentum in both domestic and international markets. The company's revenue from operations jumped to Rs 2,845 crore, up 35.7% from Rs 2,096 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) expanded even more robustly, growing 50% to Rs 621.8 crore compared to Rs 414.6 crore in Q2 of the previous fiscal year. The disproportionate growth in EBITDA relative to revenue expansion indicates improving operational efficiency and better cost management across the business.
International operations have emerged as a key growth catalyst, contributing substantially to the company's overall performance improvement. The overseas business segment has demonstrated unexpected strength, helping to diversify the retailer's revenue base beyond its traditional Indian market focus.
The strong quarterly results reflect the eyewear sector's resilience and Lenskart's competitive positioning within the retail optical market. The company's expansion strategy, combined with growing consumer demand for eyewear across Asia, appears to be translating into measurable financial gains during a period of broader economic activity.
