Leopard accidentally trapped in tiger cage, released safely into forest

A leopard caught in a cage intended for a prowling tiger has been freed back into its natural habitat, wildlife authorities confirmed. The big cat was discovered in one of 14 traps deployed across the operational area since August 21, when efforts to capture the elusive tiger began.
This marks the second leopard to fall into the tiger traps during the ongoing operation. The first accidental capture prompted wildlife teams to review their trapping methods to minimize harm to non-target animals.
Authorities have maintained that the captured leopard was unharmed and released immediately upon discovery. The animal's safe release demonstrates the rangers' commitment to protecting wildlife even while conducting targeted capture operations.
