LeT commander treated bullet wounds with traditional Ayurvedic remedies

A senior commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) allegedly used traditional Ayurvedic honey remedies to treat bullet wounds sustained during a gunfight with security forces, according to officials investigating militant activities in the region.

The commander, identified as 'Hashim Moosa,' incurred the injuries during an armed encounter in the Dorimal-Gambhir Moghla area. Rather than seek conventional medical treatment, which would have risked exposure to authorities, the militant reportedly relied on Ayurvedic preparations containing honey and other traditional ingredients to manage his wounds while hiding in jungle terrain.

Security officials described the treatment approach as a survival tactic employed by militants operating in remote areas where accessing modern medical facilities would compromise their safety. The use of traditional remedies has occasionally been documented among militant operatives seeking to avoid detection by intelligence agencies and security forces.

The incident highlights the challenges posed by militants operating in forested regions and their ability to sustain operations despite combat injuries. Authorities continue efforts to track and apprehend the suspect and dismantle militant networks operating in the area.
