Life Prisoner's Daring Hospital Escape Bid Foiled in Bhopal

A prisoner serving a life sentence was caught attempting to escape from Bhopal's Hamidia Hospital on Thursday after he used a toilet window on the fourth floor to begin his getaway. The inmate, identified as Sachendra Rajput, had managed to exit through the window and was making his way down using a pipe when authorities intercepted him. The dramatic bid to flee the hospital premises was unsuccessful, with security personnel preventing him from reaching the ground.

Rajput was allegedly using the bathroom when he spotted an opportunity to escape. He reportedly pushed open the toilet window and began his descent using an external pipe as a makeshift route to the ground floor. However, his movement did not go unnoticed, and hospital security and law enforcement officials moved swiftly to prevent his escape.

The incident has raised questions about the security protocols in place at the government hospital, particularly regarding the monitoring of high-risk inmates undergoing medical treatment.
