Liverpool's inconsistent campaign took another blow as they drew a goalless stalemate against Fulham at Anfield, extending their recent run of mixed results. The Reds' inability to break down their visitors highlighted ongoing concerns about their attacking efficiency this season.
Chelsea fared little better despite mounting a second-half comeback. After falling behind to Hull City, the Blues levelled through Joao Pedro's equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. The result marked another dropped points for the west London club in their pursuit of the title.
The draws left both heavyweight clubs with ground to make up in the title race. While Liverpool and Chelsea struggled at home, other contenders capitalised on the opportunity to close the gap at the top of the standings.
Forest and Ipswich both secured victories during the weekend's fixtures, taking advantage of the slip-ups from the traditional powerhouses.
