The Merseyside club will tackle the English Premier League's front-runners without two vital offensive weapons, a significant blow ahead of the weekend fixture. Iraola disclosed the team news on Friday, days before the high-stakes encounter that will test Liverpool's title credentials against the defending champions.
The dual absence leaves Liverpool's attacking options stretched as they prepare to face Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side. Both Isak and Gakpo have featured prominently in the club's campaign thus far, and their unavailability presents a tactical challenge for the home side.
The fixture at Anfield represents one of the season's marquee matchups, with Manchester City currently holding the league's top position. Liverpool will need to compensate for the missing firepower through tactical adjustments and increased contributions from alternative attacking players.
