The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and Payment and Settlement Systems Berhad (PCSB) have issued a joint apology for disruptions to the Tuju navigation app, acknowledging the inconvenience caused to commuters and road users across the country.
In a statement released from their operations centre in Kajang, both organisations confirmed they are undertaking active restoration efforts and implementing system upgrades to prevent similar incidents. The moves come after mounting complaints from users who experienced outages and performance issues with the popular navigation platform.
Officials said the technical difficulties have been identified and work is underway to strengthen the app's infrastructure and reliability. The organisations did not specify a timeline for completing the upgrades but emphasised their commitment to restoring full functionality at the earliest opportunity.
Tuju is widely used by Malaysian motorists for real-time traffic information and route planning. The disruptions have highlighted the critical importance of maintaining robust digital infrastructure for the nation's transportation systems.
