Logitech launches India manufacturing operations, expands regional footprint

Logitech, the Swiss-based manufacturer of computer peripherals and accessories, has begun manufacturing operations in India as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in South Asia and enhance supply chain resilience. The new manufacturing facility builds on Logitech's established research and development operations already operating in the country.

The company intends to progressively localise its complete product range within India, enabling it to better serve the domestic market while reducing time-to-market for new offerings. This localization drive is expected to create employment opportunities and contribute to India's growing electronics manufacturing sector.

Beyond serving Indian consumers and businesses, Logitech plans to leverage the new manufacturing base for exports to regional and international markets. The move aligns with India's push to attract global technology companies and establish the nation as a manufacturing and export destination under initiatives like Make in India.

The expansion reflects broader industry trends, with major technology companies increasingly diversifying their manufacturing operations away from traditional production hubs. For Logitech, the Indian facility represents a strategic investment in a market with growing demand for computing peripherals, gaming equipment, and other connected devices.
