PUTRAJAYA — Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook has ordered MYEG and Zetrix AI Berhad to immediately settle RM314 million in outstanding arrears, marking an escalation in efforts to resolve the long-standing payment dispute.

The demand was issued during a high-level meeting in Putrajaya, with the minister making clear that the companies must address the financial obligations without further delay. The arrears relate to services and contractual arrangements between the firms and government agencies under the transport ministry's purview.

The directive underscores the government's commitment to ensuring accountability and timely settlement of financial obligations by private sector entities engaged in public sector contracts. MYEG and Zetrix AI Berhad have not yet publicly responded to the minister's ultimatum.

The outstanding payments have drawn scrutiny from multiple quarters, with the transport ministry previously signalling its intent to pursue recovery through various mechanisms if the companies failed to comply voluntarily. The companies now face mounting pressure to resolve the matter expeditiously to avoid potential legal action or contractual penalties.
