Loyal dog keeps lost Vietnamese boy safe through night on mountain

The young boy from Dak Lak province in Vietnam's Central Highlands went missing after leaving his home, eventually finding himself stranded on a remote mountain more than 10 kilometres away. Throughout the night, his family's dog stayed close, providing comfort and companionship during the extended ordeal.

When search teams resumed efforts the next morning, they discovered the boy and his canine companion together on the mountainside. The dog's presence throughout the 17-hour period may have provided crucial emotional support to the child during what would have been a frightening experience for a six-year-old separated from his family.
