LPG sales to halt nationwide during two-day suspension period

Gas distribution companies have notified retailers and consumers of the planned suspension, which will take effect from 15 October and continue through 16 October. The nationwide halt covers all LPG sales points, including retail outlets and direct delivery services.

The suspension period coincides with maintenance operations and system upgrades being undertaken by energy authorities. Officials have advised households to ensure adequate LPG supplies before the blackout period commences, particularly those depending on gas for essential cooking needs.

Retailers have been instructed to cease all LPG transactions during the two-day window. Consumers are urged to plan accordingly and stock necessary supplies in advance to avoid disruption to daily activities.

Energy authorities stated that the suspension is necessary to complete critical infrastructure work. Normal distribution operations are expected to resume on 17 October, pending successful completion of the planned maintenance schedule.
