The Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1) has announced changes to its regular operating schedule in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day on Friday, August 21, a special nonworking holiday in the Philippines.

As part of the holiday arrangements, the transit authority has adjusted both morning and evening service times to accommodate reduced passenger demand during the special nonworking day. Commuters planning to use the LRT-1 system are advised to take note of the modified first and last train departure schedules.

The announcement comes as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also suspended the number coding scheme for vehicles on the same day, coordinating with other government agencies to facilitate smoother holiday observance.

Passengers are encouraged to check the LRT-1's official channels for specific departure times and any additional service updates they may need to plan their travels accordingly on the holiday.
