MANILA — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Sunday announced the revocation of operating permits for two transport network companies citing persistent regulatory violations.

Leggo Information Technology and Aztech Solutions International Corp. lost their authority to operate following their inability to meet mandatory franchise requirements, according to the LTFRB statement. The board also rejected the renewal applications submitted by both firms.

The regulatory action underscores the LTFRB's ongoing enforcement efforts to ensure transport network companies comply with operational standards and passenger safety protocols. Companies operating in the ride-hailing sector must demonstrate adherence to licensing conditions and service requirements to maintain their franchises.

The LTFRB has previously suspended or revoked permits for transport network operators found in violation of regulations. Industry observers note that compliance failures typically involve inadequate driver vetting procedures, vehicle maintenance standards, or insurance coverage lapses.

Philippine commuters continue to rely on transport network companies for mobility, making regulatory oversight critical to ensure service quality and consumer protection across the sector.
