MANILA – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has announced a substantial personnel deployment for Oplan Biyaheng Ayos–Undas 2026, aimed at managing the anticipated surge in vehicular traffic during the holiday season.
The operation will mobilize more than 100 personnel across multiple units, including 70 Law Enforcement Service enforcers tasked with traffic management and violation enforcement. An additional 50 Information, Education, and Communication team members will be positioned to disseminate road safety advisories and assist travelers, while 18 Philippine Coast Guard personnel will support operations in coastal areas.
The coordinated deployment reflects the LTO's commitment to preventing road accidents and ensuring smooth traffic conditions during Undas, when significant numbers of Filipinos undertake journeys to cemeteries and provincial destinations. The agency's multi-agency approach combines enforcement, public communication, and inter-agency coordination to address the challenges posed by elevated holiday travel volumes.
Motorists are advised to remain vigilant, observe speed limits, and comply with traffic regulations throughout the holiday period. The LTO recommends checking vehicle conditions before travel and planning routes in advance to avoid congestion.
