The Land Transportation Office conducted the apprehension on Friday in Quezon City, discovering multiple violations during the roadside inspection. The driver was operating the imported EV using a falsified license, immediately disqualifying him from legally operating the vehicle.

Upon investigation, authorities found that the motorist could not produce the vehicle's registration documents, a requirement for all registered vehicles in the Philippines. The electric vehicle was also traveling without a license plate, compounding the infractions.

The impounded unit remains in LTO custody pending resolution of the violations. The incident underscores the agency's continuing enforcement operations against unlicensed and unregistered motorists on Philippine roads. Authorities did not immediately disclose additional details regarding potential charges against the driver or the disposition of the vehicle.
