Lucknow to build modern integrated bus terminal with ₹265 crore investment

Lucknow is set to get a world-class integrated bus terminal designed with airport-like amenities, as the Uttar Pradesh government greenlights a ₹265 crore development project. The facility will be built at the P-4 parking area in the Vrindavan Yojana locality, reimagining how passengers experience inter-city and intra-city bus travel in the region.

The project represents a significant upgrade to the city's transportation infrastructure, incorporating commercial spaces alongside the terminal operations. Under the public-private partnership framework, the development aims to provide modern boarding and alighting facilities while generating revenue through retail and commercial activities housed within the complex.

The move aligns with broader efforts to enhance mobility infrastructure across Uttar Pradesh's urban centers. By combining transportation services with commercial amenities, the terminal is expected to serve as a comprehensive hub for commuters and travelers passing through Lucknow.

The phased execution of the project will be monitored to ensure timely delivery of the modern facility, which is envisioned to handle increased passenger volumes while maintaining international standards for cleanliness, safety, and passenger comfort.
