MANILA — Batangas Second District Representative Gerville Luistro has assumed the role of lead prosecutor for the House of Representatives in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte. The lawmaker is directing the prosecution team's case presentation before the Senate impeachment court.
Luistro began his examination of witnesses this week, including E-Government Procurement Operations Division Chief Rendell Sopeña from the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGeps). The proceedings mark a significant phase in the impeachment trial, with the prosecution laying out its evidence and arguments before the Senate panel.
