Luxury glass estate slashed to $3.995M after failing to attract buyer

The luxury glass residence, known as Crest House, has undergone substantial price adjustments after failing to secure a buyer despite considerable market interest. Originally listed at $5.25 million in July 2026, the four-bedroom Cherry Grove estate has attracted over 350 prospective viewers.
Seeking to stimulate buyer interest, sellers reduced the asking price to $4.85 million before implementing a second cut to $3.995 million. The successive markdowns reflect challenging market conditions for high-end properties in the coastal community.
Despite the significant reductions, Crest House remains positioned well above local market records. The current listing price exceeds Cherry Grove's previous record sale of $2.7 million by approximately $1.3 million, indicating the property's premium positioning within the neighbourhood.
The extended time on market for the glass estate underscores broader challenges facing luxury real estate in the region, where buyer interest does not always translate to completed transactions at seller expectations. The property's architectural distinctiveness and substantial price point may have contributed to the prolonged sales process.
