MANILA — Luzon's economic dominance remains unchallenged as nine of the country's ten largest local economies are concentrated in the northern and central regions, according to data released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

The National Capital Region maintains particular strength within the rankings, with four highly urbanized cities located in Metro Manila securing positions in the top ten. Three provinces from Luzon also feature prominently in the standings, reflecting the region's continued concentration of economic activity and infrastructure development.

Davao City stands as the sole representative from Mindanao and the broader southern Philippines, holding the tenth-place position in the national rankings. The distribution underscores persistent regional economic disparities and the concentration of commercial, industrial, and service sectors in northern and central areas of the archipelago.

The rankings, compiled by the PSA, provide a snapshot of local economic performance and highlight ongoing patterns in the geographic distribution of the Philippines' economic output across its various regions and administrative divisions.
