The results left PSG's lead reduced, though the capital club maintained their position at the summit despite facing stiff competition.
Paris Saint-Germain dispatched AS Monaco 3-1 in a commanding display that showcased their attacking prowess. The victory came courtesy of a clinical performance, with an American squad member opening his account for the season during the clash at the Stade Louis II.
Lyon's own success kept them firmly in contention for the title, while Paris FC's result demonstrated their credentials as serious challengers to PSG's dominance this campaign. The dual victories have intensified what is shaping into a competitive battle for the championship, with the gap between the top sides narrowing as the season progresses.
The weekend results suggest PSG cannot take their advantage for granted, with both Lyon and Paris FC demonstrating they possess the quality to mount sustained challenges at the business end of the season. All three teams will look to maintain their form as Ligue 1 heads into the next round of fixtures.
