The French club overturned an early deficit to secure three points in a match that highlighted the closely contested nature of this season's competition. Lyon's ability to fight back from behind proved decisive as they edged ahead of their rivals in the standings.
Nice had taken the lead earlier in the contest, but Lyon's determination and tactical adjustments after the interval enabled them to turn the match around. The home side's second-half performance was instrumental in their resurgence, with the team demonstrating resilience to claim victory.
With the win, Lyon now occupy first place in Ligue 1, though the narrow margins between top contenders suggest the title race remains wide open. The tightly packed nature of the standings means results in upcoming fixtures will continue to shape the championship picture significantly.
