COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua announced Thursday the Cabinet composition for the region's inaugural elected administration, marking a significant milestone for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The Cabinet slate comprises nine members of the Bangsamoro Parliament alongside appointed officials who will direct the region's various ministries and critical offices. The composition reflects the power-sharing arrangements within BARMM's political structure as it transitions to its first democratically elected leadership.
The appointments come as the autonomous region continues implementing devolved governance frameworks established under the Bangsamoro Organic Law. The Cabinet will oversee essential services and development initiatives across the region, which encompasses five provinces in Mindanao.
Macacua's Cabinet selections follow an extensive selection process, with numerous candidates expressing interest in the available positions. The announcement sets the stage for the formal organizational structure of BARMM's elected government as it assumes full executive responsibilities.
