MACC Postpones Questioning of Former Felda Chief Isa Samad

The anti-corruption body postponed plans to record a statement from Isa Samad after the former federal land development authority leader underwent an ophthalmological procedure, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The former Felda chairman's hospitalization necessitated the delay in the investigative process, which was scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur. No new date for the questioning has been publicly announced.

Isa Samad, who led Felda during a significant period in the organization's history, has previously faced scrutiny from the MACC. The postponement comes as part of ongoing investigations that may involve financial or administrative matters related to his tenure.

The MACC typically accommodates medical circumstances when scheduling witness statements and investigative interviews. A rescheduled date for Isa Samad's questioning is expected to be arranged once he has recovered from his surgical procedure.
