Macklemore announces dedicated tour following Ed Sheeran collaboration split

Macklemore has announced a standalone tour after his removal from Ed Sheeran's US dates, marking a significant pivot in the artist's touring schedule. The separation came after the rapper made public statements supporting Palestine while performing as a guest on Sheeran's show.

During his appearance on the British musician's tour, Macklemore addressed the conflict, declaring that Palestinians "are not forgotten" and calling for freedom for the territory. The comments prompted organisers to end his involvement with the remaining shows on the schedule.

The 'Thrift Shop' artist has responded by launching his own dedicated tour, which will allow him to perform independently and pursue his artistic vision without constraints. The move represents a continuation of Macklemore's outspoken approach to social and political issues, which has defined much of his career in hip-hop.

Details regarding specific dates, venues and ticket information for Macklemore's new tour are expected to be announced in coming weeks. The development underscores ongoing tensions within the entertainment industry regarding artist freedom of expression and tour participation policies.
