Authorities have closed off an area of MacRitchie Reservoir Park after a depression appeared in the ground, prompting an investigation by the Public Utilities Board (PUB).
The ground depression measures 0.6 metres wide and 0.5 metres deep, according to the PUB. The affected section remains cordoned off as investigations into the cause of the subsidence continue.
MacRitchie Reservoir Park, one of Singapore's popular recreational areas, remains accessible to the public in unaffected zones. The PUB has not disclosed further details about the cause of the depression or an estimated timeline for reopening the cordoned area.
