Maddison fit for Tottenham's Palace clash, confirms De Zerbi

Tottenham Hotspur have received a boost ahead of their Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace, with manager Roberto De Zerbi confirming that midfielder James Maddison is available for selection despite an injury scare this week.

De Zerbi made the announcement on Friday, allaying concerns that the England international would miss the weekend fixture. The manager did not elaborate on the specific nature of the injury concern or provide further details on Maddison's physical condition.

Maddison's availability represents a significant plus for Tottenham as they seek to maintain their league position. The 27-year-old midfielder joined Spurs from Leicester City in 2023 and has been a regular in the club's midfield this season.

Crystal Palace will visit Tottenham on Saturday for what shapes as a competitive encounter between the two London-based clubs. Both sides have competing interests in the Premier League standings as the season enters its crucial autumn phase.
