Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has inaugurated a revamped agricultural welfare portal intended to serve as a single-window gateway for farmers seeking assistance from multiple government schemes. The digital platform integrates several key agricultural support initiatives, streamlining access for rural beneficiaries across the state.
The upgraded portal incorporates prominent national programs such as PM-KISAN, which provides direct income support to eligible farmers, alongside the AgriStack framework aimed at creating a comprehensive database of agricultural holdings. The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, the government's crop insurance scheme, has also been integrated into the platform to enable farmers to access coverage information and file claims more efficiently.
The consolidated approach reflects efforts to reduce bureaucratic friction in agricultural welfare delivery. By consolidating disparate schemes into a single interface, officials contend the portal will enable farmers to identify applicable benefits and complete enrollment processes without navigating multiple government databases or physical offices.
The platform launch comes as Indian states intensify digitalization efforts in agriculture, leveraging technology to improve scheme penetration and reduce implementation delays. Madhya Pradesh has prioritized agricultural digital infrastructure as a component of its broader rural development strategy.
