Madhya Pradesh CM accuses Congress of silence on pilot's bravery

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, accusing it of remaining silent on pilot Smit Machhar's bravery due to vote-bank politics. Speaking at a public event, Yadav suggested that electoral considerations were preventing the opposition party from properly recognizing the pilot's courage and service.

The Chief Minister also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to Balaghat district, claiming the party was more focused on political calculations than celebrating the state's heroes. Yadav contrasted this with the state government's approach of honoring those who have served the nation and contributed to regional history.

During the event marking Rani Durgavati Jayanti, Yadav paid tribute to the descendants of the 52 forts associated with the 16th-century warrior queen. He emphasized the importance of remembering historical figures and contemporary heroes who had made sacrifices for the nation. The Chief Minister's remarks reflected the state administration's effort to position itself as a custodian of both historical memory and contemporary recognition of service personnel.
