Madhya Pradesh CM pledges crackdown after toxic liquor deaths in Sagar

Chief Minister Yadav traveled to Sagar to assess the situation and review the government's response to the spurious liquor outbreak, one of the deadliest such incidents in the state in recent years. Police have made significant progress in their investigation, securing arrests of 16 individuals out of 33 suspects named in the case. Authorities have launched intensive raids and inquiries to identify remaining accused persons and prevent further distribution of contaminated alcohol in the region.

During his visit, Chief Minister Yadav indicated that the state administration has been given a free hand to pursue aggressive measures against those responsible for manufacturing and peddling spurious liquor. The directive signals the government's determination to hold perpetrators accountable and prevent similar incidents.

The incident has reignited concerns about the circulation of toxic alcohol in Madhya Pradesh, where illicit liquor operations continue to pose a serious public health risk. State health officials have also been mobilized to provide medical assistance to affected individuals and monitor patients in hospitals across Sagar.
