Madras High Court sends ₹15 crore actor-producer dispute to arbitration

The Second Division Bench comprising Justices M. Sundar and Mummineni Sudheer Kumar has transferred the ₹15 crore contractual dispute to an arbitral tribunal, clearing the way for out-of-court settlement of the matter.

The bench appointed a retired High Court judge as the sole arbitrator tasked with examining and adjudicating all points of contention between the actor and the production house. This move is expected to expedite resolution of the long-pending financial disagreement that has been under judicial consideration.
