Madras High Court upholds order against K.N. Nehru in recruitment scam

Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan dismissed K.N. Nehru's review application on Tuesday, declining to alter the court's February 20 order that had instructed the DVAC to register an FIR in the matter. The rejection of the review petition effectively upholds the high court's earlier directive against the former Indian Police Service officer.

Nehru, who served in various senior positions during his career, had filed the review application seeking modification of the February order. The bench, however, found no grounds to reconsider its previous direction and maintained the course of action initiated by the court.

The case centres on allegations that Nehru facilitated recruitment of individuals in exchange for financial consideration. The high court's order has now paved the way for the DVAC to proceed with registering a formal case and initiating investigation into the matter.
