Magnitude 5.0 earthquake strikes Tibet region
A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 has hit China's Tibet region, according to seismic monitoring data from the German Research Centre for Geosciences. The tremor occurred late Thursday in an area several hundred kilometres north of where recent Himalayan flooding has affected the region.
