Aspirants seeking admission to five-year law degree programmes in Maharashtra can now participate in the second round of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) counselling for 2026. The choice-filling window opened on August 23, allowing eligible candidates to register their preferred colleges and courses through the official portal.

The second round follows the initial allocation phase and provides candidates who did not secure seats or wish to change their college preferences with another opportunity. Students are advised to complete their choice submissions before the notified deadline to avoid missing the window.

Once the choice-filling period closes, the authorities will process applications and release the seat allotment results according to a pre-announced schedule. Candidates are required to have their qualifying examination scores, application credentials and necessary documents ready while filling preferences.

Prospective law students should verify their eligibility status and review the list of participating institutions before making their selections. The counselling process follows merit-based allocation procedures and takes into account candidate preferences along with merit rankings.

Authorities have advised applicants to visit the official MH CET website for detailed guidelines, the complete schedule of events, and updates regarding seat allotment. Candidates who secure seats in this round will need to complete document verification and fee payment within the specified timeframe to confirm their admission.
